Kind things ANYONE can do ANYTIME!

  • Leave your quarter in the cart at Aldi when you're done so the next person finds it

  • Hand out quarters for people needing carts at Aldi

  • Pay for someone's toll behind you

  • Leave a favorite book with an anonymous inscription in a public place

  • Leave an encouraging, anonymous letter for someone in a public place in an envelope marked "This is for YOU!"

  • Send encouraging, anonymous letters to: teachers, prisoners, oncology patients, random people from the phone book.... 'Taint nobody that doesn't need love and encouragement!!

  • Tape exact change to a vending machine

  • Pick a "random" group of people you'll pray for... for instance anytime you meet someone with a name starting with "M", anyone you see wearing green, cars with vanity plates... anything you can think of that will keep you sending conscious, loving energy on a regular basis!

  1. Hey Mary, just wanted to let you know that today April 18 2009 I went to Aldi in cary and spent an hour there handing out quarters to customers for their carts. It went rather well. The first person I attempted to give a quarter to didn't accept it and said "no thank you I've got it", so I started to put the quarters in the carts
themselves and just stood back and watched
peoples expressions as they went to put their quarter in the cart. They would look over to me and ask "Did you put this here?" I would answer "yes it's a random act of kindness". I received many thank you's. The last person I did that for asked me why I was doing this and I just said that
I just wanted to be kind and they deserved it. She told me that she believes in random acts of kindness and that she had lost a loved one at 5:00 this morning and was being there for her loved ones and how she really appreciated this gesture. It really touched my heart that my little act could bring so much joy to someone. It was a rewarding day to spend a short time doing this. After I went to Aldi in Crystal Lake and did the same thing there. It wasn' as busy as the one in Cary so I just left quarters in the carts. I hope that people enjoyed them
as much as I did leaving them for them. Thank you for opening my eyes to this. I was just as proud doing this as I am when I'm with you when you give flowers to people.
    Mike T.
